Domestic Shipowner Members

For Canadian shipowners

At the heart of our network are Canadian shipowners: companies that operate, lease, charter ships or any equipment operating in or on the water, under domestic flag, on the waterways of the St. Lawrence River, the Great Lakes, the Arctic to the Atlantic Ocean.

Non-Domestic Shipowner Members

For shipowners from abroad

Companies that operate, lease, charter ships or any equipment operating in or on the water, under a non-domestic flag, on the waterways of the St. Lawrence River, the Great Lakes, the Arctic to the Atlantic Ocean, interested in promoting the goals of the Corporation.

A community committed to maritime affairs

Since 1936, the St. Lawrence Shipowners have brought together key players in maritime transport in Quebec and Canada to defend their interests, support their operations, and contribute to the growth and visibility of the industry.

Whether you are a shipowner, a logistics chain partner, or an organization committed to the development of the maritime sector, you are welcome in our network.

For over 40 years, the Occupational Health and Safety Employers Centre – Training and Expertise has been helping employers assume their leadership in occupational health and safety and improve their performance in this area, in order to reduce the number of occupational injuries as well as the associated human and financial costs.

Thanks to your membership in the Saint Lawrence Shipowners Association, you benefit from multiple occupational health and safety services and activities at a preferential rate, namely a 40% discount on the regular price of OHS training, e-training and events.

Their diverse program, comprising over 80 training courses , covers all aspects of occupational health and safety (OHS), including the new legal obligations stemming from the Act to Modernize the Occupational Health and Safety Regime (AMHSR) , such as those related to the prevention of psychosocial risks, accident analysis, and OHS leadership for managers. The AMHSR now applies to all employers, regardless of their sector; these training courses are essential for you!

Our affiliation with the Centre patronal SST also gives you access to free publications, including the SST Bonjour! newsletter and the Infos SST blog.

We strongly encourage you to use their services, which we believe are efficient and relevant for you and your managers, in order to meet the new legal requirements in occupational health and safety.
